FLOWERS FOR FOOD - Thank you for your support!

The Branford Garden Club proudly awarded $2,600 to the Community Dining Room and the Branford Food Pantry.  The money was raised in the Flowers for Food sale on the Branford Green in late September.

Members of the Branford Garden Club and Branford Community Gardens donated an extraordinary amount of flowers, greenery, and vegetables from their gardens. Tables of colorful arrangements in teapots, vases, and bouquets were eye-catching and irresistible. Our customers gave generous freewill contributions to help support our neighbors in need. We wish to thank all involved for this making colorful community event so successful.

BACA in Bloom

The Branford Arts & Cultural Alliance, BACA, and the Branford Garden Club joined their creative forces in an event on August 11-13.

Fifteen designers displayed floral arrangements that took their inspiration from fifteen works of art displayed in the gallery. The theme was to suggest the synergy between art forms, in this case, floral and paintings. The arrangements were testaments to the emotional impact that a work of art is capable of creating for the viewer.
